Pre-Med Student Maddy Johnson Bravely Shares Her Vaccine Injury Story

We had the chance to interview Maddy Johnson, a 21-year-old pre-med student whose life was completely changed in February 2021 when she got the COVID-19 vaccine.

Maddy had reactions to the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine – fatigue and muscle soreness – that she thought was normal. But after the second dose, she was hit hard with serious sickness, fevers, body shakes, and other symptoms that lasted for about a week. Then she started having odd pain in her wrist, which required a brace. But the pain soon became unbearable. She couldn’t open doors, her motor skills declined, and she couldn’t close her hand.

Medical tests showed nothing unusual. As a med student, she wanted to understand what was going on. She was thinking carpal tunnel given the symptoms. It got a lot worse. Like, a lot.

We embedded the entire interview below so you can watch for yourself. Maddy’s detailed story is on her website here. She updates followers about her vaccine injury on Instagram. Her mom, Marah Johnson, also advocates for her daughter on Instagram and the doctor that helped Maddy, Dr. Mark Ghalili can be found here.

Maddy’s story needs to be shared. People need informed consent about the vaccines. Please share.
